Explore the spring wildlife and landscape and take a ‘meditative journey’ through the world of Bede.
10 am – 11.30 am: ‘Spring Wildlife and Landscape’ – a short 1.5 km walk around the area. Meet at the west entrance to the church yard. Wear stout shoes, dress appropriately for the weather and bring binoculars if you have them.
2.30 pm: ‘Reflecting on Journeys’ – around the grounds of St Paul’s, the home of the Venerable Bede, is a self-guided walk to do at your own pace designed to take about 40 minutes. Take time out from busy lives to reflect on the paths we take and those who have gone before us. The walk includes points of reflection with images, things to do, poetry and prose drawn from a number of faiths which speak of meditative walking, spiritual and life journeys.
