Well-being

WALK Research Group is proposing a research project that, using walking, wildlife and art, will attempt to add knowledge to this area of social research and to shed light upon some of the factors that may make people feel better about themselves and their relationship with their surroundings.

The value of improving people’s sense of individual well-being is being increasingly acknowledged as of considerable value to wider society.  This will be a pilot project with a published evaluative outcome accompanied by a small touring show of artwork produced by the lead artists (Mike Collier and Marcia Ley) and participants on the walks/workshops.

Funding is currently being sought to make this research project possible.
